Ayushmann Khurrana is playing a blind musician in his next, Andha Dhun. The movie is directed by Sriram Raghavan, with whom the actor is working for the first time. Sriram Raghavan has made some critically acclaimed thrillers like Ek Hasina Thi, Johnny Gaddar and Badlapur. Radhika Apte and Tabu have important roles in Andha Dhun, which earlier had a title, Shoot The Piano Player. Andha Dhun is scheduled to release on October 5, 2018 and is produced by Viacom18 Pictures.
The makers of Andha Dhun have released the motion poster which is interesting as Ayushmann Khurrana's accompanying voiceover. The video has a blind man's shades breaking into guns, weapons, musical instruments and connotations, and if we are not mistaken, a cup of hot tea! Ayushmann Khurrana's voiceover tells us how he finds inspiration in music and sounds, and moreover, how he can see better in darkness than the rest of us. True that, I am sure Daredevil would agree.

In a media interaction earlier, Ayushmann revealed why they chose this title for the film. He had said, "We were contemplating a lot of titles and though Sriram Raghavan was happy with another title but we always had a plan for a Hindi title. ‘Andhadhun’ is kind of a pun. It is not ‘andhadhund’ but ‘andha dhun’ (which roughly translates to ‘the blind tune’).” Ayushmann will also be seen in the romcom, Badhaai Ho.
