The two young, talented actors of Bollywood would be coming together for the first time for the film titled Khaali Peeli. In July 2019 it was announced that Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday would be the new onscreen jodi, and the film will be produced by the ace filmmaker, Ali Abbas Zafar. In an interview to a leading tabloid, Ananya has not only praised about her co-star but she has also mentioned how she would be seen playing a different kind of a role, something that is out of her comfort zone.

Earlier in an interview to BT Ali Abbas Zafar had stated, “Khaali Peeli’s process has been organic — Maqbool, Himanshu (Kishan Mehra, co-producer) and I worked on the script for almost a year, and when we felt that it was totally baked, we took it to this enthusiastic young cast. I am happy that the studio is producing this film with us, apart from the other project that we are working on. We will soon announce our next big collaboration as well.”

In an interview to Mumbai Mirror Ananya Panday shared intriguing details about her role. She was quoted saying as, “The character is completely out of my comfort zone as she doesn’t speak the way I do in real life. It’s interesting because I had to adapt to new lingo and a different tone. We have experimented with my look as well.” Besides this film, the actress is also working on Pati Patni Aur Woh. Directed by Maqbool Khan, Khaali Peeli is all set to be released on June 12, 2020.
