Amitabh Bachchan is known to be one of the most active celebs when it comes to social media. The mega-star knows how to keep his fans engaged with various entertaining and motivational posts on the micro blogging site. On the occasion of International Women's Day 2018, Big B paid ode to the women of his house by posting their pictures. He captioned them as, "T 2736 - On International Women's Day , an ode to women and to the women Champions of Swachh Bharat : #SwachhShakti & @SwachhBharat." Of course, along with the pictures of Aaradhya, Navya Naveli Nanda, Shweta Nanda, Jaya Bachchan; he also encouraged others with the Swachh Shakti programme that focuses on women empowerment.

Earlier, while promoting 'Beti Bachchao Beti Padhao' campaign, the Piku actor conveyed some strong words for women. He was quoted saying, "It's time we realise that half of the country's population can't be left behind by making them feel neglected and helpless. They should be equal partners in the country's development. In the present scenario, this imagination will become a reality only if the position of a man and a woman is equal in the society. Equal number of daughters should be born as sons and they should be raised and educated properly so that they are able to play their rightful role in life."

Senior Bachchan has been always supportive of the causes for women. He was also recently seen in Shoojit Sircar's court room drama 'Pink' where he won the critics and masses with the hard-hitting dialogues supporting women. The slogan 'Mo Means No' propagated by him in the movie has been imprinted permanently in the fans' hearts. The versatile actor will be next in the films namely Thugs of Hindostan and 102 Not Out.
