Akshay Kumar very quietly started shooting for the Hindi remake of Tamil film series, Kanchana. In Hindi, the movie will be called, Laaxmi Bomb. Kiara Advani joined the cast of the film, two days back, making this her second collab with Akshay after the yet-to-release, Good News. Now we hear that Amitabh Bachchan will also be joining the cast of Laaxmi Bomb. The actor will be playing the role of a transgender, as per reports. Sarathkumar in the original, played the same role. Whow! If the makers are able to pull this one off, it will be groundbreaking.
Raghava Lawrence, who directed and played the lead in the original, is directing the Hindi remake, Laaxmi Bomb. This would be the first time Amitabh Bachchan would be playing a daring role like this one. Also, his character would also die and come back as a ghost in the movie.
In a conversation with Deccan Chronicle, Raghava said, "Akshay Kumar and I have been in talks for a year and a half toying with the idea of remaking Kanchana in Hindi. And after several discussions, it has come to shape finally. I am improvising the script to suit the present times, Akshay's image and also Bollywood audience tastes."
Raghava has made a lot of changes to the script to suit the taste buds of the Hindi audience. Firstly, Kiara's character will have a bigger role as opposed to the original.
Other than Laaxmi Bomb, Akshay Kumar also has Good News to look forward to. The actor is also expected to start the shooting for his web-series debut, The End, soon.
