Amitabh Bachchan and Nagraj Manjule's Jhund has now got a release date. Trade analyst Taran Aadarsh took to Twitter to announce the official release date of the film, He tweeted saying, "Release date finalised... #Jhund, starring Amitabh Bachchan and directed by #Sairat director Nagraj Manjule, to release on 20 Sept 2019... Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Raaj Hiremath, Savita Raj Hiremath and Nagraj Manjule." For those who don't know, the film is directed by Sairat filmmaker Nagraj Manjule and the story is based on the life of Vijay Barse, who is the founder of Slum Soccers. Big B plays role of a professor who channelises the street children to build a soccer team. The kids in the film have been attending acting and football workshops to lend authenticity to the film. Interestingly, Aamir Khan pushed Amitabh to take up the role when he narrated the story to him. “I remember, when I discussed that with Aamir, he told me I must do this film. And you know what happens when Aamir endorses something… So I am doing that,” Bachchan was quoted saying earlier. “It is a real life story. It is about underprivileged children and those staying in slums, a sporting team is made with these bunch of actors,” he added. In other news, we are next going to see Sr Bachchan in Badla where he plays a lawyer and the film stars Taapsee Pannu too. The duo has worked together in Pink, which also featured Big B as a lawyer. The trailer of the film released last week and fans were left wanting for more.
