The Kathua and Unnao rape cases which have been a major talking point since the last few days have not only got common man enraged but celebs too. Be it putting up a tweet or carrying out silent protests - Bollywood has been condemning such shameful acts and the latest actor to talk about it is Amitabh Bachchan. At the song launch of Badumbaaa in Mumbai today, Big B, who is the brand ambassador of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, was asked to comment on the Kathua case. To which he said, "Even discussing this issue feels disgusting, don't bring up this issue. It is terrible to even talk about it: Actor Amitabh Bacchan on being asked about his views on rapes in the country as an ambassador for 'Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao'."

Celebrities like Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Vishal Dadlani, Kalki Koechlin, Richa Chadha and many others have posted pictures on their social media holding placards with a message demanding justice for the victim. People have followed in their footsteps, which has given way to a new trend that is purely and wholly for a social cause.

"How many more children like baby Asifa will be sacrificed at the intersect of religion & politics? How many more children will have to suffer unimaginable crimes before we wake up? I'm disgusted. It's time for swift action. We owe it to Asifa and to humanity. #justiceforAsifa," Priyanka Chopra tweeted.'

Akshay Kumar wrote, "Yet again we've failed as a society. Can't think straight as more chilling details on little Asifa's case emerge...her innocent face refuses to leave me. Justice must be served, hard and fast!"
