A still from “Vashmalle,” the first song of Thugs of Hindostan dropped on social media, and it has piqued netizen’s interest in the film. It shows Aamir Khan in his small-time thug Firangi Mallah avatar while Amitabh’s Khudabaksh Azaad character is resting his arm on Aamir’s shoulder. It looks like a fun song with the rest of the dance crew having a blast. It is exciting to watch Azaad, the no-nonsense leader of pirates group going out of his way to shake a leg with the fun-loving Firangi Mallah. It kind of reminds us of Amitabh as the ‘Angry Young Man’ and a lively Rishi Kapoor from their yesteryear blockbuster film. "Lambu Ji Lambu Ji Bolo Tingu Ji" is a popular song from Coolie, where the senior actor indulges in a funny banter with Rishi Kapoor. The peppy song has the duo taking a jibe at each other’s height. While Rishi addresses Amitabh as "Lambu Ji" (Hindi term for tall people) as the megastar gives him back by calling him "Tingu Ji," a slang for people with short height. Sung by Shabbir Kumar and Shailender Singh, the song is very much fresh in our memories for its catchy lyrics. Honestly, in front of Amitabh Bachchan who stands at 6′ 1″, almost everyone is "Tingu Ji" in Bollywood!
