Director-Producer Vikas Bahl, who has been accused of multiple sexual harassment claims, has been ousted by the producers of Ranveer Singh's 83. In case you weren't aware, Bahl was involved in the project as one of the producers of the film. However, due to the growing allegations owing to sexual misconduct against him the board made the decision to oust him. Kangana Ranaut's Queen Co-Star Nayani Dixit Recounts a Shocking Incident When Vikas Bahl Asked Her To Share A Room With Him

On the same, a source quoted to Pinkvilla, "Allegations against Vikas have been a huge concern for the team of 83 and they expressed their concern over his presence in the film. Owing to his misconduct, the internal team came to a conclusion unanimously that he shouldn't be involved with the project in any capacity. The same has been conveyed to him and his then partners Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane and Madhu Mantena." No official statement has been released by the makers of 83 so far.

Helmed by Kabir Khan, 83 stars Ranveer Singh essay the role of veteran cricketer and former Indian national cricket team captain Kapil Dev. The film documents the galvanised state of the whole country after Kapil drove the team to its 1983 World Cup win.

While sharing the exciting news, Singh also took to Instagram to state, "I feel honoured and privileged to be part of this film. One of the greatest underdog stories of all time - finally coming to the silver screen. What a day it's been. To have met our sporting heroes in the flesh and be regaled by their stories - full of nostalgia, humour, emotion...a truly unforgettable event. I'm filled with a sense of responsibility and committed to making a film that the entire nation can be proud of. The greatest Indian sports story will now get its deserved cinematic glory! It's time to #Relive83 🏏may God bless our endeavour. Thank you for this once in a lifetime opportunity @kabirkhankk ... let's do this !!!"

The film was initially produced by Phantom Films, which is jointly owned by Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl. However, with the reports of sexual allegations against Bahl, not only did the production house dissolve but even he has been sacked from his position as a producer in 83. We wonder if the producers would individually chip in money for the film or whether Kabir Khan will have to scout for a new production house altogether.
