Ali Fazal Replaces Sooraj Pancholi in Sanjay Dutt's Prasthanam Remake
Speaking more about the Prasthanam remake, the movie will be helmed by Deva Katta
Sanjay Dutt is all set to return as a producer after a gap of seven years with the remake of the 210 Telugu hit Prasthanam. He will be playing the main protagonist in the movie, whose original was a well made political thriller. Earlier it was reported that Sooraj Pancholi was to play his son in the movie, one of the most important characters in the film. However, as per a report in DNA, the Hero actor has walked out of the project.
The publication mentions that there is no reason given as to why Sooraj Pancholi has walked out of the film. There is a speculation that the dates are clashing with his dance film with Isabelle Kaif, Time to Dance. However, his exit has left the makers miffed with his behaviour. Thankfully for them, they have found a replacement for him in Ali Fazal.
The actor, who was last seen in Fukrey Returns, has come on board to play Sanjay Dutt's son in the movie. Amyra Dastur has been signed on to play the female lead.
Speaking more about the Prasthanam remake, the movie will be helmed by Deva Katta, who had also directed the original as well. The original, in which Sai Kumar played the lead, was a huge blockbuster in the year it was released and went on to win several Filmfare awards. The shooting for the remake will start from June.
