Ali Fazal is here and how. The actor who is most considerable known for playing boy next door characters...like the dreamy guitarist in Fukrey, surprised the audiences with his performance as a dreaded gangster in his latest release a video on demand series Mirzapur, which received majorly positive reviews. Ali shed all his inhibitions to play the character of Guddu Pandit who goes out and about shooting people as revenge. Web's very own angry young man, if you will. Ali impressed the audiences, especially in the urban areas of Uttar Pradesh.
Mirzapur is a nine-episode web-series produced under the banner Excel Entertainment starring Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Vikrant Massey, Divyendu Sharma, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shweta Tripathi in pivotal roles. The series finale ends with a cliffhanger, thankfully, leaving a lot of scope for season 2. It's time to get a dose of happiness for Mirzapur fans. As Ali has now confirmed that Mirzapur season 2 is in the pipeline. Spread the news, guys.
Ali has said, "About season 2, hopefully early next year. We are hoping to bring you back to the world of Mirzapur. So early next year we would but before season 2 I have some film commitments to finish both her and abroad and yeah, then after that we will begin". How cool is that? Also, let us not miss out on the minute detail that Ali has some commitments on the foreign land. We do wonder what his next project might be. The actor has already been seen in a small role in Furious 7 and a lead role in Victoria and Abdul. Ali also told Reuters on November 29, "I am about to wrap up my films in Bollywood, and I start two films in Hollywood next week,"
But do not expect him to give out any deets of these two projects because Hollywood is pretty strict with its blabbering policies. "It is not as easy as here where I can talk about the next one. I will get sued for that. There is another biopic that I am doing that will start in 2019," he told Asian Age. Stay tuned to Latestly for more updates. And, Ali, we are staying tuned to you.
