While Hindi releases are struggling to mint money at the India box office, Hollywood's latest offering Aladdin is doing pretty good business at the ticket windows. The musical fantasy drama came out on May 24 along with Arjun Kapoor starrer India's Most Wanted and Vivek Oberoi's PM Narendra Modi. Directed by Guy Ritchie, Aladdin took a better opening than both the Bollywood films and then went on fare well over the first weekend too. On weekdays, Will Smith starrer continued to draw the audience to the cinema halls and has now ended week 1 with a good box office total. Aladdin Box Office Collection Day 3: Will Smith's Musical Fantasy Has a Bigger Opening Weekend Than Bollywood Releases, Mints Rs 18.50 Crore

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to the popular microblogging site Twitter and revealed the updated figures saying, "#Aladdin has fared well... Collected better than #Hindi releases... Should gather momentum over the weekend... Fri 4.25 cr, Sat 6.50 cr, Sun 7.75 cr, Mon 3.75 cr, Tue 3.30 cr, Wed 2.90 cr, Thu 2.60 cr. Total: ₹ 31.05 cr Nett BOC. India biz. Gross BOC: ₹ 36.97 cr."

Further, Boxofficeindia.com has reported, "Aladdin is doing well as its collections on day seven were similar to the first day collections of Godzilla 2. More important than that the hold was strong with the release of Godzilla 2 dropping just 15%. There could be another drop on Friday but it should do well on Saturday and Sunday and is on target for a 40 crore nett plus total." Aladdin Box Office Collection Day 2: Will Smith's Movie Is Dominating the Ticket Windows In India, Earns Rs 10.75 Crore

Going by the current trend, it seems Aladdin will have a good run at the ticket windows next week as well. However, the collections will see a dip as Salman Khan's Bharat is slated to release on Wednesday, June 5.
