Akshay Kumar celebrates his 52nd birthday on September 9 and had a big surprise for his fans as he announced his upcoming project with YRF titled Prithviraj. The actor released a teaser of the film which revealed its title. As the actor gears up to star as Prithviraj Chauhan, the Rajput king in this film, this is Akshay's fourth film announcement. The actor is all set to have a packed 2020 and has even bagged all the festive slots including, Eid, Christmas and Diwali 2020.

Apart from Prithviraj, the actor has other films lined up such as Laxmmi Bomb, Sooryavanshi, Bachchan Pandey, Good News and Housefull 4. From playing the role of a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender person to playing a Rajput king, the actor has a variety of roles to offer in his upcoming releases. Prithviraj

Akshay announced today that he will be starring in the biopic of Rajput king Prithviraj Chauhan. The film has been titled Prithviraj and is slated to release on Diwali 2020. The film will be helmed by Dr Chandraprakash Dwivedi of Pinjar fame. A female lead is yet to be cast in the film.

Good News

Akshay Kumar and Karena Kapoor will be seen in Good News along with Kiara Advani and Diljeet Dosanjh. The film explores the topic of surrogacy. The film was earlier slated to release in September but was pushed further. It will be after a decade that Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan will be working together. Housefull 4

One of the most successful comedy franchises of Bollywood, Housefull is all set to release its fourth instalment this Diwali. The multi-starrer features Akshay Kumar along with Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Pooja Hegde, Chunkey Panday, Bobby Deol and Kriti Kharbanda in key roles. Housefull 4 has been helmed by Farhad Samji and is slated for a Diwali 2019 release.

Sooryavanshi

After initially locking horns with Salman Khan's now shelved film Inshallah for the Eid 2020 release, director Rohit Shetty preponed Sooryavanshi. The film starring Akshay Kumar along with Katrina Kaif is slated to release on March 27, 2020. It is the fourth instalment in Rohit's cop universe. The first three films were Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba.

Laxmmi Bomb

Akshay Kumar is all set to star in the remake of Raghava Lawrence's Tamil horror film, Kanchana 2. The film stars Kiara Advani along with Akshay and the couple are teaming up together fo the first time with this film. The film stars Akshay in the role of a man who gets possessed by the ghost of a transgender person. Kiara will be playing the role of his wife in the film. Laxmmi Bomb is all set to release on Eid 2020, yes the same slot that was initially booked for Inshallah.

Bachchan Pandey

The first look of Akshay Kumar's Christmas 2020 release Bachchan Pandey was released recently. The actor was seen donning a moustache and bare-bodied in the poster with heavy gold chains on his neck and wearing a black veshti on the first look poster. Not much is known about the film yet. Bachchan Pandey is being directed by Housefull 4 director Farhad Samji.
