Independence Day 2019 releases Mission Mangal and Batla House are the most-awaited films of the year. This holiday slot is considered to be one of the important ones as many filmmakers tend to compete to clinch the audience's attention on this day. This is for the second time that an Akshay Kumar film is clashing with a John Abraham movie. The buddies in real life, clashed their films Gold and Satyameva Jayate before too and managed to emerge successful together. Now, as the advance booking of the new two films have started, the first figures are already out. As of now, it is Mission Mangal that is leading the race. As much as the actors made an attempt to promote each others' films recently, the competition is in the air, thanks to their respective fans. Now, as per the trade analyst, Komal Nahta, Mission Mangal tickets are getting sold at higher speed.

He tweeted, 'Advance booking of AkshayKumar and R.Balki’s MissionMangal in national multiplex chains starts on flying note. Combined total of 12,000 tickets already sold in 3 chains viz. PVR, Inox, Cinepolis. Batla House combined figure from those chains so far is 2,000 tickets.' Here check out the tweet.

Jagan Shakti directed space drama has a wide cast ensemble with female leads like Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Sonakshi Sinha, Nithya Menen, Kriti Kulhari. The trailer of the film was loved by the audience and we can see it through the figures mentioned above. On the other hand, the Nikkhil Advani directed thriller based on the Batla House encounter has Mrunal Thakur as the female lead. The song "O Saki Saki" featuring Nora Fatehi is already a rage. While there is still time for both the films to hit the screens, it will be interesting to see where the audience gets pulled.
