Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi.
Akshay Kumar will be seen next in Kesari, a historical war drama based on real-life events. The project marks the collaboration of Akshay Kumar with Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari is based on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi. The movie is about 21 Sikh soldiers from the Indian regiment of the British army who gave up their lives fighting an Afghani invasion of nearly 10,000 marauders. Kesari is scheduled to release on March 21. So we were surprised when we saw a video uploaded on YouTube with the title 'Kesari Full Movie'. The title also mentions the stars as Akshay Kumar and Mohit Raina, though the popular television star, last seen in Uri: The Surgical Strike, was not seen in the trailer of Kesari. So what is this 'movie' all about? Kesari BTS Video: Akshay Kumar Reveals the Challenging Part of Recreating the Battle of Saragarhi.

Even the description of the video is interesting and hankers towards Kesari:
The Truth is that the above movie has nothing to do with Kesari, but more to do with the Battle of Saragarhi. It is an edited version of the TV series, 21 Sarfarosh - Saragarhi 1897, that was aired on Discovery Jeet. Mohit Raina has played the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, the same character that Akshay Kumar is playing in Kesari.
Interestingly, people don't seem to mind that they are not watching an Akshay Kumar film, going by the number of likes and views the video has received.
Seeing how a film that is not even Kesari has got so much love on YouTube, we expect the real film to do wonders at the box office. Kesari also stars Parineeti Chopra as the female lead. The movie will clash with Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and How To Train Your Dragon 3 at the box office on March 21.
