Akshay Kumar Was On A Liquid-Only Diet During 2.0 Shooting For This Shocking Reason!
The things Akshay Kumar had to undergo to perfect his role as the main antagonist in 2.0 is plain painful!
Akshay Kumar is a fitness freak, no doubt there. But the things he had to undergo to perfect his role as the main antagonist in 2.0 is plain painful! The actor had to stick to a strict liquid-only diet during the shooting of the film not because his character expected him to be skinny and lean but because his costumes expected him to stay the same size! That's right.
Kumar had to ensure that he didn't weigh any more or any less during the 2.0 shooting as that would affect the fitting of the costume, which would eventually affect the appearance of the antagonist. Speaking on the same, he explained the hardships of the prosthetics and how his role expected way too much patience from him to Quint, "You were not allowed to eat after putting on prosthetics because your body has to be intact, as the bodysuit has been made according to your size. Plus you have to be on a liquid diet. Only milkshakes, juices and water were allowed."
After the three and half hours each day was spent on putting the prosthetics to make Akshay Kumar look like the Hawkman, he had to sit for another two and a half hours to remove each and every item of the costume from his body. This cycle carried on for over 38 to 40 days! "When I saw myself in that get up for the first time, I kept on clicking selfies. My family was with me, so kept on clicking selfies with my wife with my children," he added.
"When you are shooting with prosthetics all over your body, the pores on your skin can't breathe because there is no oxygen since your whole body is packed. So, for the five to six hours that I used to shoot, all the sweat used remain inside my body. When they use to remove the whole thing, I used to smell of sweat,” he explained. Clearly, Akshay Kumar knows now what a bride-to-be undergoes! 2.0 is set to release on November 29.
