Akshay Kumar Says He Was Comfortable in a Saree While Shooting for Laxmmi Bomb

The upcoming film Laxmmi Bomb is a remake of the Tamil film Muni 2: Kanchana. This film also marks the debut of director Raghava Lawrence in Hindi. Starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani in the lead, this is indeed one of the most-awaited projects of the former, as it would be the first time that we’ll get to watch him in a totally different avatar and character. It was on the occasion of Navratri 2019 that the makers released Akshay Kumar’s look as Laxmmi. He was seen wearing a red saree teamed with a black blouse, accessorised with matching bangles. The dramatic red bindi and dark kohled-eye was indeed impressive. With a fierce look in his eyes, he was seen standing in front of an idol. His look made many fans wonder how comfortable he must have been shooting in a saree. In an interview to Mid-Day, Akshay Kumar while talking about his look in Laxmmi Bomb was quoted as saying, “I am comfortable in a saree and had no problem shooting in it. I love doing tricky stuff.” He also said, “It is one of the most difficult characters I have played. I had to internalise the character and get the body language right.” From the posters and seeing Akshay Kumar’s look, Laxmmi Bomb seems to be an intriguing watch. The film is all set to hit the big screens in May 2020.
