Akshay Kumar is all set to be in the silver screen with another power pack performance in the period drama ‘Gold’. The Reema Kagti film based on India's first Olympic medal win in hockey after India became independent is in already in the buzz since long. Recently, the team of the movie surprised the Khiladi Kumar with a bag full of gifts as a sweet gesture. The crew apparently missed the star and time spent with him and decided to treat him with some gifts and loads of love from their end. However, one gift left Akshay confused! It was a t-shirt that had a caption ‘One More For safety’.
A source close to the development told a leading daily, “The movie is scheduled to release on the Independence Day weekend. And the team cherished the experience of shooting with Khiladi Kumar. So, a couple of Reema’s assistants along with some crew members went to meet Akshay. Guess after the time spent with him, they also knew that though he is strict about his eating habits, he has a sweet tooth. As a result, they brought two cakes made especially for him, a lovely pair of shoes in an unusual sky blue colour (Akki has a huge collection of footwear) and a T-shirt with the slogan ‘One more for safety’ embossed on it, which they gifted him."
The PadMan actor was deeply touched by the presents brought for him but it took a while to realize why the tee had this unusual slogan. Revealing about it, the source added, “Every time Akshay finished giving a take, Reema would ask him to give one more for safety, even if the earlier one was a perfect shot. The team wanted to gift the actor something that he would remember. So, they figured this would be an apt present.”
Now, you can take notes from the Gold team before gifting someone next time! The film also stars Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor and is scheduled to release on August 15, this year.
