It was shocking to hear actor Akshay Kumar getting summoned by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) in the wake of the Bargari sacrilege case. According to the reports, the actor has been asked to visit the Circuit House in Amritsar along with former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and former deputy chief minister Sukhbir Singh Badal. While the actor is called for questioning on November 21, Prakash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Singh have been summoned on November 16 and 19 respectively. It was surprising to hear the Gold actor's name in this big case and it was necessary for him to issue a clarification for the same. Akshay took to his Twitter account to clear all the air surrounding this new case. In his statement, he assures that he has never met Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh ever in his life and while he resided in the same locality in Juhu, they never crossed each other's paths. The actor means no harm to Punjabi community and he would never ever do anything that would hurt their sentiments. Being a Punjabi himself, he understands the culture and would never disrespect it. While he assures his version to be true, he's willing to challenge anyone who can prove it wrong. The summon orders have been issued separately for the three by SIT member IPG (OCCU) Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh. He said the summons relate to "investigation of cases originating from the various incidents of sacrilege in the year 2015 {FIR No. 129, dated 07.08.2018 under Section 307, 323, 341, 148, 149 IPC and 27 Arms Act PS City Kotkapura (District Faridkot)}. The summons has been issued under section 160 of CrPC, requiring attendance at investigation, relating to the Bargari sacrilege case and the Behbal Kalan & Kotkapura police firing incidents".
