Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar has made a confession and we cannot hold back our amusement. The actor, at the HT India’s Most Stylish awards in Mumbai on Friday, revealed that he was offered the role of Milkha Singh in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag but he turned it down. We wonder how Akshay would have fit into Farhan Akhtar’s one of the most iconic roles and bring justice to it. When hosts Vicky Kaushal and Radhika Apte asked him which film he had not seen yet, Akshay said, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. He further said that he was offered the lead role and he turned it down.

“Actually, I regret not doing that film. It was Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. I was offered that film but I opted for Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobara,” he said. “That’s the film I am very guilty of not doing it and not watching also,” he added.

The film eventually landed to Farhan’s kitty and the results are known to us all. Farhan essayed the role of Milkha Singh, often known as the Flying Sikh, and was lauded across the quarters. Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s directorial venture also starred Sonam Kapoor, Divya Dutta, Meesha Shafi and Pavan Malhotra. At the HT India’s Most Stylist Awards, Akshay won the HT Hottest Trendsetter award. The award was presented to him from his mother-in-law and veteran actor Dimple Kapadia.

On the work front, Akshay’s recent release Kesari is basking with huge box-office success and has impressed the audiences and critics alike. The actor has Good Day, Sooryavanshi, Mission Mangal, and an Amazon Prime Special, Fire, in his kitty.
