And Akshay Kumar has another film in his kitty! The actor, who already has his hands full with films like Kesari, Mission Mangal, Sooryanvanshi and Good News, has been roped in for another big project. As per reports, Akshay has been signed as the leading actor in the Bollywood remake of Tamil film, Kanchana. This marks the return of Akshay Kumar to the genre of horror- comedy after 12 years. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, the film will not exactly be a remake but will be based on the lines of two films - Munni and Kanchana. "It’s not a straight remake, the basic premise will draw references from two films, Muni and Kanchana, so it’s more like two films clubbed in one to create double the impact. The team has been working on the script for over six months and has added several new dimensions to the original film," says a source close to the development. Akki is expected to start shooting by April- end and the film will be shot for over 60- 70 days. The yet- to- be titled project is expected to release in 2020. With another film in the pipeline, Akshay is the only actor in Bollywood to have his hands full, at least for now. The actor is yet to make an official announcement about the project.
