Kesari is based on a true story event, the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar essays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh in the film. Parineeti Chopra is paired opposite the Khildai. Directed by Anurag Singh, the film is going to be released on the occasion of Holi, March 21.
