Akshay Kumar adds yet another feature to his hat. His last film, Gold, which had Mouni Roy, Amit Sadh, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Singh among others, has made it to Saudi Arabia. Akshay recently tweeted saying, "The story of India’s first Gold medal victory for the first time in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Happy to share, #Gold is the first ever Bollywood movie to release in the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia, in cinemas from today! [sic]" That is quite an achievement! Looks like Akshay is making and breaking records with every film that he does, including Gold. Fans are really excited about all of his upcoming films, too.

Though the film got mixed reviews from critics, fans seemed to have loved it so much that Gold entered the Rs. 100 crore club recently. Our in-house critic, Sreeju Sudhakaran, wrote in his review of Gold, "Directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, Gold is a fictional take of India's real win of gold in field hockey at the 1948 Olympics. Like, Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, however, Gold decides to stick to fictitious characters instead. I have an issue with both the movies about this particular aspect - when the real-life events are so interesting then why opt for fictional narratives?"

Quite a proud moment for everyone!

Gold was Mouni's debut in Bollywood and the actress has three more films in her kitty already. Mouni will be seen in Karan Johar's Brahmastra with Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, John Abraham's Satyameva Jayate and Rajkummar Rao's Made In China. Akshay, on the other hand, has Good News, Kesari and Housefull 4 in his bag. They are definitely going to make 2019 a good year for films. Well, let's hope so. What are your thoughts on this?
