Vedalam is a 2015 Indian Tamil action film written and helmed by Siruthai Siva, who has earlier worked with Ajith in Veeram. The story of the film revolves around two siblings and their sentiments for each other. While Shruti Haasan was paired up with Ajith as his love interest (for the first time), the film also stars Rahul Dev and Kabir Singh Duhan (as antagonists) in pivotal roles.
