Ajay Devgn is the talking point on social media these days, after a prank of his left Twitterati reeling. The superstar, who was last seen in this year's Raid, had tweeted out, "Kajol not in country...co-ordinate with her on WhatsApp 9820123300." People assumed that Kajol's number was accidentally tweeted by her husband, and many tried to be in touch with her only to find out that it was a fake number. Yup, people fell for Ajay's new prank as the actor put out another tweet that confirmed his gag, "Pranks on film set are so passé… so tried pulling one on you guys here". While he may possess a very serious demeanour, Ajay Devgn is known as a prankster among his co-stars, and actors who have worked him like Katrina Kaif and Sonakshi Sinha have their share of stories to tell about how Devgn had pulled a fast one of them. However, there was also this one time when one of his gags took a dark turn, as the woman who was at the receiving end, nearly ended her life!

Ajay Devgn himself revealed this incident to Mid-Day earlier this year in an interview, which had happened during a shoot. One of his co-stars had brought his newly married wife, who was not from a film background to the sets and she was the victim of Devgn's prank. He had said, ''We used to shoot at night. She would obviously meet her husband in the mornings. We would keep feeding the wife that her husband is having an affair. And that, in the night, he goes off somewhere. There are no night shoots! I'd tell her that I return to my room at 10.30. She'd tell me that she's heard all about (his pranks. That she trusts her husband. The actor revealed that the prank took a turn for the worse on the ninth day. He continued, "We woke up and learnt that she had actually taken pills, had to be rushed to the hospital. She'd been fighting with her husband over this, throughout, checking with him on what the hell he'd been up to!" As for his prank with Kajol's number, she had a witty take as she tweeted, "Looks like your pranks are out of the studios now... But there is No Entry for them at home!".
