Ajay Devgn Posts a Thank You Note for Friends and Fans for Showing Their Support After His Father Veeru Devgan's Sad Demise

Ajay Devgn lost his father and Bollywood's famed action director, Veeru Devgan on Monday (May 27). Veeru Degan's passing came as a shock not only to his family but also the film fraternity. Bollywood celebrities showed their strong support for the Devgan family as they attended the funeral as well as the prayer meet. Celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Bobby Deol etc were the first ones to show up at the Devgan residence as soon as they heard the news. Over the past few days too, several celebrities have conveyed their condolences to the family in person as well as via Twitter. After the prayer meeting held today (May 30) evening, Ajay Devgn took to Twitter to thank all those who supported their family in this tough time. The actor wrote, "We are grateful to all of you for the way you have shared our loss. Thank you all for the prayers and support."

Veeru Devgan's funeral was held at Vile Parle West Crematorium on 27th May 2019 where Ajay performed the last rites. Several Bollywood celebrities including Arjun Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty had arrived to pay their last respects. For today's prayer meet too, we saw Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor and others were in attendance.
