Ajay Devgn Avoids Clash with Avengers: Endgame As De De Pyaar De Will Release on March 15

Yesterday, the world got to see the first ever footage of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame. The trailer of the film that released yesterday is still trending on top of the internet. Well, apart from finally revealing the title of Avengers 4, the trailer also revealed the new release date of the film. The makers announced that the movie is scheduled to release on April 29, a shift from the summer of May target that Hollywood studio was earlier aiming for. But this shift in release date turned out to be trouble for Ajay Devgn.

Ajay Devgn's De De Pyaar De, a romcom produced by Pyaar Ka Punchnama fame Luv Ranjan, was supposed to release on April 29, as per the reports. But trade pundits would not suggest going against a movie as big as Avengers: End Game. It's predecessor, Avengers: Infinity War, was the biggest box office opener of 2018. That is until Sanju came along and smashed Infinity War's Rs 31.3 crore figure with  its Rs 34.19 crore collection on day 1. But you get the drift, right? Avengers movies are hugely popular in India.

So, it only made sense that Ajay and the makers of De De Pyar De give the release date a second thought. So, they did. It was announced today that movie has moved its release date to March 15, 2019. Yayy. We will get to see Ajay, Tabu and Rakul Preet Singh's rom-com earlier than expected. This is most certainly a win-win for fans as they would not have to make the choice between the two movies.

Earlier, Rajinikanth's 2.0 and Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika were, briefly, scheduled to clash with Avengers: Infinity War on April 27, 2018. But both the desi movies moved release dates for various reasons, averting the clash in the process.
