Neeraj Pandey's Aiyaary is the talk of the town and sadly not for the right reasons. The Sidharth Malhotra- Manoj Bajpayee starrer got dim reviews and that has terribly affected the box office collection. A lot was expected by 'A Wednesday' director because of the kind of thrillers he has always given in the past. However, this army thriller failed to make an expected impact on the ticket windows. The film's collection had a slow start but has paced up a during weekend. On day 2, the movie collected Rs 4.04 crores taking the total upto Rs 7.40 crore only!

Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, " #Aiyaary witnessed an upward trend on Sat, but the 2-day total is underwhelming... Biz is better in metros... Fri 3.36 cr, Sat 4.04 cr. Total: ₹ 7.40 cr. India biz." Apart from the unflattering reviews [Read Our Review Here] for Aiyaary, the major reason for the low collection is the competition that it has. PadMan is going quite well compared to other movies in India. Moreover, it is Hollywood biggie 'Black Panther' that has stolen all the limelight and is doing exceedingly well at BO.

Talking about the film, Sidharth Malhotra told in an interview to a leading publication, "It was the combination of both the director and the script that made me sign the movie. I met Neeraj much before Aiyaary started and when he narrated the script to me, I felt that the story is so important and relevant that I had to be part of it. The director has such an amazing storytelling ability that every actor gets excited to be part of his movie. It's a fast-paced spy thriller. It talks about the issue that we haven't spoken of in the past." If you have watched the film too, feel free to post your own review in the comments box below.
