AIB Roast Controversy: Will Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh Attend The Hearing in Bombay High Court on April 3?

The hearing is based in the case filed against the actors and others involved in the event held in 2015 by the members of the comedy group, All India Bakchod.

On April 3, that is tomorrow, the Bombay High Court has kept the hearing on the long-drawn legal case on Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor for their involvement in the AIB Roast controversy. The hearing is based in the case filed against the actors and others involved in the event held in 2015 by the members of the comedy group, All India Bakchod. The FIR files against the actors was for allegedly using obscene language. It has to be seen if either Kapoor or Singh or both will attend the hearing tomorrow.

Both the stars tried their best to get an interim relief from the case earlier, but the High Court refused to give them relief, until the hearing happened and the complainant gets a copy of the petition.

The whole issue started in 2014 when AIB held a Roast for Arjun Kapoor and Ranveer Singh, where a panel would take digs at them, sometimes using abusive language too. Karan Johar was the host, while Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt were the guests on the show. It was an invite-only event whose proceeds were to be given for charity. The real trouble began when the video of the event was uploaded on YouTube a year later and as expected, went viral and controversial in no time.

In the same year, an FIR was filed at the Girgaon court, alleging that the show was "vulgar, obscene...pornographic." The court allowed an FIR to be filed against the people involved, including Bhatt and Padukone who were mere spectators.

The video of the event was uploaded on YouTube a year later and it went viral.

In February 2015, Dundkar filed a complaint with the chief metropolitan magistrate of Girgaon court, alleging that the show was "vulgar, obscene...pornographic."

Ranveer and Arjun, later, alleged that the FIRs were filed with a "mischievous" intent, and requested the case to be quashed.

Now that it hasn't happened, let's see what happens in the Court tomorrow.
