Seems like war dramas will soon become a big rage in Bollywood once again. After the recent success of Vicky Kaushal's Uri - The Surgical Attack, filmmakers are eyeing this genre and it's not restricted to JP Dutta directorial anymore. On the occasion of Army Day yesterday, Sushant Singh Rajput took to his Instagram account to reveal his next big project that will hit the screens somewhere in 2019. Titled Rifleman, the project is a war drama with the actor in the lead and no more details about the same are out yet. It would be damn interesting to see Sushant as a soldier especially after the ironic dacoit he plays in his next release, Sonchiriya. The recent success of Kedarnath has brought Sushant back in the league of the top and bankable stars in Bollywood. The Instagram announcement which looked more of a movie's poster shows a war like situation with bullets being fired all around. After oto Vicky Kaushal's Uri and Sidharth Malhotra's biopic on Captain Vikram Batra, we have some high hopes pinned on Sushant's recent announcement. Did Simmba’s Box Office Success Give Karan Johar the Confidence to Release Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez’s Drive on the Big Screen?
The actor in his recent conversation had revealed how he has been offered as many as twelve movies simultaneously after the success of Kedarnath. He's carefully scrutinizing all of them and will pick the ones that will impress him the most. Sushant also has Drive with Jacqueline Fernandez releasing June this year. With Sonchiriya, Drive and the recent war drama releasing in one year, it's quite safe to say that 2019 belongs to Sushant in one too many ways.
