Sonam Kapoor is back in the news, this time for another statement on the ongoing Kashmir situation. The actress recently clarified her stance and asked the trolls to back off before misinterpreting her every statement. The flak came after her recent interview with BBC Asian Network where she gave her opinion on scrapping of Article 370 by the ruling government. In her tweet, Sonam K Ahuja says, "Guys please calm down.. and get a life. Twisting, misinterpreting and understanding what you want from what someone has to say isn’t a reflection on the person who says it but on you. So self reflect and see who you are and hopefully get a job." The trolls even then continued to bash her in the comments section with tags like 'anti-national' and similar ones. In the interview, the Aisha actress said, "It’s heartbreaking to see where the situation has landed right now and I’m very patriotic. So I think for me now it’s better to keep quiet and let this pass because even this too shall pass. I think our countries were one country like 70 years ago and the fact that there is so much divisive politics at play is really heart-breaking." She also commented on banning of Bollywood films in the neighbouring country. She also stated that she is half Peshawari and half Punjabi, which got the trolls call her out incessantly on the social media. Well, now that the actress has revealed her side, we wonder whether this controversy gets a full-stop right at this point.
