In 2003, every millennial started believing in love, love, Ishq Vishk pyaar vyaar with a movie. Shahid Kapoor's debut film, Ishq Vishk had released in April 2003 and became a rage overnight. It still remains a favourite of many. Well, it was announced earlier that the makers of the original are working on a sequel of the film. Producer Ramesh Taurani confirmed that the movie is in the scripting stage. Now, latest reports suggest that Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter might be roped in to play the lead role this time around.

Pinkvilla quoted a source as saying, "Ishq Vishq was very young in nature, and hence, who better than Ishaan Khatter, who exhibits the required charm and innocence for the role. Apparently, the idea has been discussed with Ishaan but that's it."

Back in March, Ramesh Taurani had said, "Yes, we are making a sequel to Ishq Vishk. The story is in the scripting stage and could be about a teenage romance. Hopefully, in the next two-three months, we will lock the script and start looking for the director and cast.”

Ishaan made his debut with Beyond the Clouds, for which he even won a Filmfare. The actor made a proper Bollywood debut with Dharma Productions' Dhadak. In July it will be a year since, Dhadak had released and Ishaan is yet to make an announcement about his next project. Well, an Ishq Vishk sequel sounds like the perfect route.

On the other hand, Shahid has come a long, long way from Ishq Vishk. The actor's latest release, Kabir Singh, has become his first ever solo Rs 100 crore movie and is on its way to earn Rs 200 crore. In the movie, Shahid plays a character who is a drug abusing and alcoholic surgeon.
