After Shahid Afridi, now Shoaib Akhtar Calls for Controversy; Wants Kashmir to Be 'Free' Like Salman Khan
Well, we admire the fact that you want peace in Kashmir, something that even we want to, Shoaib Akhtar. But what does it has to got to do with Salman Khan who is just out on bail?
Before I start off this article, let me remind the readers that getting bail doesn't mean someone has gotten off the hook. It only means that the person has got a temporary relief, till the courts decided whether to send him/her back to jail or let them free. Now that's cleared, let's talk about Salman Khan. The superstar had got bail in the two decade old blackbuck poaching case, when the Jodhpur court proclaimed him guilty and awarded him 5-year jail sentence. After spending two nights in jail, Salman's team finally got him bail, though the final judgement is reserved for the May 7 hearing. Also Salman can't leave the country without the court's permission.
So what does Salman's bail has to do with Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar? Akhtar recently put out a tweet where he says just like Salman got 'free' (read the first para, Akhtar), he also wishes Kashmir, Palestine, Yemen also get free too.
Remember how Shoaib's former cricket team-mate Shahid Afridi asked for trouble when he had tweeted out about the 'bloodshed in Kashmir? Indian cricketers like Gautam Gambhir, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli had told him to mind his business over the tweet.
Though Shoaib's tweet isn't no way as aggressive as Shahid's, the fact that he brought Kashmir into discussion again has raked in some controversy.
Shoaib Akhtar later put out another tweet where he clarified he was talking about peace and the people should question their own governments over what's happening in Kashmir.
Well, we admire the fact that you want peace in Kashmir, something that even we want to, Shoaib Akhtar. But what does it has to got to do with Salman Khan who is just out on bail?
