It's confirmed! Riteish Deshmukh will be seen playing a dwarf in his upcoming film Marjaavaan. Co-starring Siddharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh, the film went on floors on December 7 and is being directed by Milap Zaveri. What's interesting is the fact that Riteish plays a villain in the film who is a dwarf. Now that's a wicked combination, right? Trade analyst Taran Adarsh confirmed the news on Twitter a while back and wrote, 'IT'S OFFICIAL... Riteish Deshmukh to play a dwarf in #Marjaavaan... Plays the villain once again, after #EkVillain... Costars Siddharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh... Directed by Milap Milan Zaveri... 2 Oct 2019 release.' Marjaavaan: Sidharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Begin Shooting For Milap Zaveri's Romantic Thriller; Here's A New Still!

Nikkhil Advani, who is co-producing the film along with Bhushan Kumar, also tweeted, 'Chilling and so bloody ruthless. @zmilap has blown everyone away every time he has narrated this character. @Riteishd was whom he had always imagined. So happy he agreed to do it. #Marjaavaan.'

Well, knowing how well Riteish pulled off his grey character in Ek Villain,  we are sure he won't disappoint us with his act this time as well. But before Riteish impresses everyone with his three-and-half feet hatke avatar, the audience will get to see Shah Rukh Khan playing a dwarf in Zero which releases next week. However, unlike Riteish, Khan is the hero of the film which also stars Anushka Sharma and Katrina Kaif in the lead. Shah Rukh Khan-Salman Khan’s Zero Song Issaqbaazi Is Male Version of Dola Re Dola, Say Impressed Fans.

Also, did you know Zero was first offered to Salman Khan but the superstar rejected the Aanand L Rai film as he wasn't sure how his fans would react seeing him in a completely different avatar. Considering not many actors in the industry like to experiment with their looks, kudos to Riteish and SRK for taking up the challenge to play a dwarf onscreen after Kamal Haasan.

Coming back to Marjaavaan, Riteish will join his Ek Villain co-star on the sets of their new film pretty soon. So now the question is  - Will these two actors succeed in recreating the same magic they did with Ek Villain back in 2014? Only time will tell!
