After Sanju, Ranbir Kapoor to Play Circuit to Sanjay Dutt's Munna Bhai? So What About Arshad Warsi?

We surely hope the news is not true, as the fans of the franchise won't take it lightly.

Will Ranbir Kapoor replace Arshad Warsi as Circuit in Munna Bhai 3?

Don't mess with perfection, people! That's what we have to say when we got to hear this rumour. We all know that Rajkumar Hirani is writing the script for eagerly awaited Munna Bhai 3, that will bring back the lovable duo of Munna and Circuit, the best jodi since Sholay's Jai Veeru and Andaz Apna Apna's Amar Prem. Of course, Sanjay Dutt is returning as Munna, but when it comes to Circuit is where things get sticky. Well, at least going by a report in Filmfare. And if that report is true, blame the huge box office success of Sanju and the re-emergence of Ranbir's superstardom along with that!

If you have watched the previous Munna Bhai movies, you know what an excellent job Arshad Warsi has done as Circuit. Munna Bhai MBBS made us discover the funny bone in Warsi, and gave the actor a fresh lease of life in his Bollywood innings, following duds that came before.

However, as per a report in Filmfare, the makers of the Munna Bhai threequel are looking to replace Warsi with Ranbir Kapoor as Circuit. A source close to the development told the publication,"Seeing Ranbir’s performance in Sanju everyone is impressed. The makers believe Ranbir and Sanjay will share great on-screen chemistry considering their rapport with each other."

It doesn't make any damn sense, imagining Ranbir playing second fiddle to Dutt at this stage of his career. Also, what onscreen chemistry? Dutt and Kapoor only appeared for a song in the movie that played during the end-credits.

We surely hope the news is not true, as the fans of the franchise won't take it lightly. Arshad Warsi has already been dumped from a franchise that he made a hit, when the makers of Jolly LLB replaced him with Akshay Kumar for the sequel. If Hirani does the same with him for Munna Bhai 3, it is downright awful.
