After Replacing Katrina Kaif in Street Dancer, Shraddha Kapoor to Step in for Deepika Padukone in Luv Ranjan's Next?
Earlier in the year, Shraddha Kapoor replaced Katrina Kaif from the movie, Street Dancer 3D. Now, she might be replacing Deepika Padukone from Luv Ranjan's next. Not that Deepika's name was confirmed for the Ranbir Kapoor starrer, but they did have a meeting that became the talk of the town.
Have you noticed how Shraddha Kapoor is slowly and steadily climbing up the ladder to become Bollywood's most-sought-after actress? Shraddha now has three back-to-back hits to her credit with movies like, Stree, Saaho and Chhichore. Now, the latest reports suggest that she might have also bagged Luv Ranjan's next, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, and maybe also Ajay Devgn. The makers had approached Deepika Padukone for the role, initially. But after backlash from the fans, the actress seems to be having second thoughts about the rom-com. This won't be the first time that Shraddha is replacing an actress from a movie this year. Earlier, she stepped in for Katrina Kaif when she had to back out of Street Dancer 3D. The movie is being directed by Remo D'Souza and stars Varun Dhawan as the male lead. So, as we were saying Shraddha has become everyone's new favourite. More power to her.

The report also suggested that Shraddha, Ranbir and Luv have already met. If all goes well, an announcement will be made soon enough. The two actors have been in the industry for near 10 years now, and, yet somehow, they have never been paired together. The casting will indeed have a freshness to it.
