After Kedarnath, Is Sushant Singh Rajput's Drive in Trouble Too?

Karan Johar is apparently unhappy with the portions shot till now and wants them to be reshot.

The first look of Drive

Has someone put a curse on Sushant Singh Rajput these days? Save for his dacoit drama Sonchiraiya, most of his films are facing some kind of trouble. The latest in the line being his thriller movie, Drive. This was Sushant's first movie with Karan Johar's production house, Dharma Productions. It was also the first time he was paired with Jacqueline Fernandez. Above all, this was the second film directed by Tarun Mansukhani, who last made the super-hit Dostana, with Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Priyanka Chopra and Bobby Deol in the lead.

However, if a report in Bollywood Hungama has to be believed, the movie is in a dire crisis. As per the report, producer Karan Johar is apparently unhappy with the portions shot till now and wants them to be reshot. A source close to the development told the website, "Karan has already sent back the film for re-shooting twice. But even after director Tarun Mansukhani re-shot portions of Drive, Karan was unhappy. At the moment, the future of the film seems uncertain. Because Karan is not willing to release it the way it has shaped up now.” Mansukhani faced similar problems in the past as well, when his script for Dostana 2 had to be reworked several times, before the project has to be abandoned eventually. Even his animated movie, Koochie Koochie Hota Hai is stuck in the cans, despite the trailer being already released.

As for Sushant, it is not yet confirmed when he will give his dates for the reshoots. He has just completed his portions for Kedarnath, that has been in the news for the legal tussle between the director Abhishek Kapoor and producer KriArj Entertainment. Then his ambitious international film, Paani, that was to be directed by Shekhar Kapur is also considered as shelved, and so is his space film, Chanda Mama Door Ke.
