After director-producer Karan Johar made his audio debut with an exclusive radio show ‘Calling Karan’ on Ishq FM 104.8 (which is India’s only romantic radio station), Kareena Kapoor Khan is now keen to follow in the footsteps of her best friend. The actress, who made her comeback in Bollywood after a sabbatical with the Shashanka Ghosh-directed Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sumeet Vyas co-starrer Veere Di Wedding, is all set for her radio debut. Yes, you read that right. Kareena is gearing up to host her own radio show, which is expected to air from December this year. Excited much?

Reportedly, the 37-year-old actress kicked off her new venture with a special photoshoot at a Mumbai studio. In a statement to Mumbai Mirror, a source close to the development, said, "Just like Calling Karan, this one too, on Ishq 104.8 FM, will give listeners a chance to interact with Kareena, who is expected to start recording for the show in the coming days." He further added that Kareena's good friend Karan urged her to take the plunge when the actress discussed the idea with him.

Confirming the news, elated Kareena too told the daily, "I couldn’t have asked for a better start on this platform. I am doing my first radio show and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it." On the professional front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be next seen in seen in Karan Johar's period drama Takht. The actress will be sharing the screen space with Padmaavat actor Ranveer Singh in it.
