Seriously what's with this 'Prayagraj' that both Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt are tweeting at the wrong time? Sometime back, Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted a gif of Prayagraj and captioned it saying that 'ek anokhi kahaani...ek anokha aarambh' (a unique story, a unique beginning) before saying to stay tuned for more updates. He ended the tweet with the hashtag #Prayagraj. And before we could wonder what's that about, Amitabh Bachchan deleted the tweet. It was sensible since the whole country is currently fixed on the ongoing border crisis happening between India and Pakistan. People won't be able to understand why stars would be promoting their projects at this time. After Amitabh Bachchan deleted the tweet, however, Alia Bhatt posted the same gif and hashtag on her Twitter timeline and captioned it saying she is 'so so excited for this'.
Alia is doing her job as an actress and promoting her project, whatever it is, just as we are doing ours by going to our offices even when there is a border crisis happening. Unfortunately, and expectedly, though, Alia was trolled on social media for the tweet, which she later deleted. Alia is not the only celeb who got criticised for promotions. Why even the makers of Kesari were slammed on Twitter for releasing their first song today, featuring Akshay Kumar, when people are worried about the IAF pilot who is in Pakistan custody. Pardon our curiosity over the matter, though. But we are really anxious to know what's the whole deal about Prayagraj. Is it something to do with Brahmastra, that has both Alia and Amitabh in the lead? Or is it an entirely different movie? Or perhaps, it might be a tourism promotion for the city of Prayagraj. We will only get to know when the country has calmed down.
