Actor Dalip Tahil has found himself in big trouble when the Khar police had arrested him for driving in an inebriated state and hitting an auto-rickshaw with passengers in it. The accident happened in the evening of Sunday, as the city was in the midst of the Ganpati visarjan processions. Two people were injured in the incident and they had raised a complaint against the actor, which led to the police arresting Dalip Tahil. The incident happened on September 23 at 9 pm when Dalip Tahil's car had rammed itself into an auto-rickshaw from the behind. As per a report in TOI, the actor tried to flee away from the scene, but got caught in the ongoing visarjan processions, enabling the passengers, Jenita Gandhi (21) and Gaurav Chaugh (22) to chase and catch the car. The report further states that Dahil tried to push the complainant Gaurav after he got caught, but the police got on to the spot and took him in. Tahil has been booked for drunken driving and causing injury.

Dalip Tahil, known for his roles in Tridev, Mr India, Ra.One, is not the first Bollywood actor to have found himself in this kind of situation. Recently, television actor Siddharth Shukla has also been booked for drunken driving. And how can we forget the infamous Salman Khan drunk driving case of 2002 which led to the death of one person? The actor has been later relieved of all charges due to lack of evidence.
