After a gap of two years, Abhishek Bachchan is finally making a comeback to films with his upcoming Manmarziyan. A romantic drama, the movie also stars Vicky Kaushal, who won a lot of plaudits for his role in Sanju, and Taapsee Pannu, who was impressive in Soorma. Manmarziyan is directed by Anurag Kashyap, who is attempting his hand at romance after the disappointing Bombay Velvet.

The makers have revealed a first look poster of the film, that doesn't show much except announcing the new release date. Earlier, the movie was supposed to come out on September 7. This was interesting since it would have been clashing with JP Dutta's multi-starrer war drama, Paltan, from which Abhishek Bachchan had walked out. Now Manmarziyan is releasing two weeks later, on September 21.

However, the new date doesn't give an opportunity for Manmarziyan to avoid another clash. Instead, it would be competing with Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The social drama has recently changed its release date, earlier avoiding a clash with Kajol's Helicopter Eela on September 14. Rajkummar Rao and Nargis Fakhri's 5 Weddings is also touted to come out on the same date.
