Abhishek Bachchan quit unexpectedly from JP Dutta’s Paltan and that grabbed headlines in no time. Dutta launched Abhishek in Bollywood through Refugee and the two are said to be sharing extremely close bonding. However, as Jr B walked out of the project, many questions were raised, and speculations were made about their relationship going bitter. The director and the actor even avoided talking to each other or gave curt answers over the controversy. But all is well between them now! In fact, Abhishek even appreciated and promoted Paltan.
Speaking with The Indian Express, the Manmarziyaan actor said, “I was obviously doing Paltan and for personal reasons, I had to bow out of the film. It was devastating for me because it’s JP Saab. He didn’t only launch me, but he has been like a mentor, a family to me.”
Abhishek did not really talk about his exit till now, but he finally said that he was hearbroken that he could not stand by him. Speaking about it, the 42-year-old star said, “He is somebody I love immensely, and I really wanted to be there for him especially when he was going on this journey because he was making a film after so long. While Abhishek Bachchan will be next seen in Anurag Kashyap’s Manmarziyaan, he enthusiastically promoted Paltan. Hailing the project, he said, “The promo is fantastic. I am really looking forward to it. It’s coming up on the seventh and I am really excited about it. I have always wished him the best and I am always there for him and he knows that. Our relationship goes much beyond than making films. I will be the first person in the cinema to see it.”
He also further added that he talked and even texted him about the film. He even added that he tweeted about Paltan as well. Based on the Nathu La military clashes of 1967 which took place along the Sikkim border, Paltan will hit the screens on September 7.
