Singer Abhijeet clearly knows how to invite troubles. The singer loves to be outspoken and his statements in the past have stirred a good number of controversies. From targeting Salman Khan for encouraging Pakistani talent in India to taking a dig at Bollywood for sidelining him, Abhijeet was out there to make some eyebrow-raising statements at the India Today Safaigiri Summit and Awards 2019 today afternoon. He was busy ranting while tagging himself as the only 'deshbhakt' in B-town.

Speaking about the reason why we no longer hear his voice in movie songs or his disappearance from Bollywood overall, Abhijeet said, "I was Yashraj's favourite singer. But ever since, I have raised my voice against Pakistan, I have been sidelined." He further revealed how the same reason has proved to be a hurdle in his professional life. "Main aaj reality shows mein islie nahin hoon kyunki maine is mudde pe baat uthai hai," he said. Pulwama Terror Attack: After Bollywood's Blanket Ban on Pakistani Artists, Lahore High Court Puts a Ban on Indian Films in Pakistan.

The singer further narrated how we should learn nationalism from Pakistan. "Learn nationalism from Pakistan. Mujhe kya pata nationalism kya hota hai. School mein nikal jaata tha jhanda khareedne aur bharat mata ki jai karta tha. Kya iska matlab nationalism hai?" he said when asked his views on nationalism.  His statements are bound to stir some controversies in the coming days and let's hope the issue doesn't take any ugly turn.
