Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan, Salman Khan's Race 3, Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year - 12 Films That Breezed Past Rs 100 Crore Mark In Just Three Days!

In this special box office feature, we look at 12 movies that entered the Rs 100 crore club within three days.

Aamir Khan's Thugs of Hindostan, Salman Khan's Race 3, Shah Rukh Khan's Happy New Year - 12 Films That Breezed Past Rs 100 Crore Mark Within Three Days!

It hardly came as a surprise to us that Thugs of Hindostan breezed past the Rs 100 crore mark within just three days (unless the allegations of the makers inflating the trade figures are true). The movie stars Aamir Khan in the lead, and the man is responsible for giving Bollywood some of its biggest hits in recent times. Thugs of Hindostan also has a very fan-friendly cast in Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The movie, produced by Yash Raj Films, was riding on tremendous hype and enjoyed the advantage of releasing during the Diwali holidays with no competition from Bollywood. It had to cross Rs 100 crore mark, no doubt. Thugs of Hindostan Box Office Collection Day 3: Aamir Khan's Film Enters Rs 100 Crore Club But There's Little To Celebrate - Here's Why!

However, the movie can hardly be called a hit, since it has to recoup its tremendous budget of Rs 300 crore. While Thugs of Hindostan has managed to achieve this benchmark with ease, trade experts are worried if the movie can manage to cross the Rs 200 crore mark. The movie has been getting bad reviews and viewer reactions, and the business is showing a steep decline.

But to be fair here, let's celebrate Aamir's another record of making his film as one of the fastest to enter the Rs 100 crore club. It is not the first movie to do so. In fact, it is the fourth Bollywood this year to reach this milestone this year after Padmaavat, Sanju and Race 3. Contemporaries like Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan also have this milestone under their sleeve. And it is also not the only Aamir Khan or Katrina Kaif film to do so as well. Thugs of Hindostan Box Office: Why The Cold Reception to Aamir Khan's Film Is Making Us Worried For Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar's 2.0.
