Aamir Khan's latest movie Secret Superstar is now in the process of conquering Hong Kong box office, after having triumphed in China. Secret Superstar had a decent run in India when it released during Diwali last year. While it got good reviews, the movie was overshadowed at the box office by the more massy and gallery-pleasing Golmaal Again. Going against the tradition of Aamir Khan's box office history, Secret Superstar failed to enter the Rs 100 crore club (technically, it is not an Aamir Khan movie since it is Zaira Wasim's film and Aamir has an extended cameo).

However, in China it did a stupendous business of 117.61 million dollars till February. Now Secret Superstar is on its way to do a fabulous business in Hong Kong as well, where it was released last week. As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie has collected Rs 3.46 crore in its three day-run from 118 screens.

In an interview to Indian Express, leading lady Zaira Wasim has this to say about the movie's overseas business, "We knew it was a film with a soul and it doing so well is definitely a great feat. To be honest, I don’t get into the business of a film but for me what’s more important is that so many people across nations got to see and love our film. That’s a bigger achievement for an actor. But I am truly thrilled that the film was appreciated globally.”

Trade experts are confident that Secret Superstar will do better business in Hong Kong in the days ahead. It is now established that Aamir Khan has made the Eastern-part of Asia his fan-belt just like he did with India.
