The craze for 3 Idiots in the overseas is far from over. A theatre in Japan screened 3 Idiots in 2020 as their last show and it turned out to be houseful.
3 Idiots released in 2009 and it's not just India, which showered it with humungous love but overseas as well. It was released in Taiwan, Hongkong, South Korea, China, and Japan. 3 Idiots received the same love from these foreign locations as it did in India. It saw houseful boards in these places as well. Now 11 years later, 3 Idiots became the last movie to go houseful at a Japanese theatre which has shut shop. Maharashtra Police Calls Out R Madhavan’s Triple Seat Stunt From 3 Idiots, Actor Agrees!
Fuse Line Cinema tweeted about it saying that 3 idiots is their last show and that too is going houseful. The theatre closed down its operation on February 29 this year. As per a notice attached to their website, this decision was taken due to changing economic trends. The theatre was operational from December 18, 1997, to February 29, 2020. The tweet reads, "The last show of Fuse Line Cinemas] 15:30 times today "It will be fine" 131 guests! It is housefull! Thank you! "
3 Idiots is one of the highest-grossing Indian movies in Japan. The film released in Japan four years after its India release and managed to make over 100 million in its first two weeks. Clearly, the craze for this film in the overseas is far from over.
