Aamir Khan to Star in a Biopic on Spiritual Guru Rajneesh aka Osho Before Mahabharata?

It is raining biopics for the Bollywood celebs. The genre has naturally become one of the most loved ones in the past few years. While most of them are trying their hands on the subject, how can Aamir Khan be left behind? Now, to the huge delight of his fans, Mr Perfectionist might step into the film based on the life of spiritual guru Bhagwan Rajneesh, popularly known as Osho. There were rumors that filmmaker Karan Johar might make a film on the same, but the rumors were dismissed. However, Kapoor and Sons director Shakun Batra is all set to take up the project for an international streaming channel as web series. Guess what? Aamir has shown interest in the script, reports DNA. A source close to the development, told the daily, “Everyone knows what a great sense of script Aamir has. When he got to know about this one, it immediately piqued his interest. In fact, he is said to have visited Los Angeles, USA, to meet the officials of the streaming channel. This is definitely an important development. Aamir also has his ambitious project Mahabharat on the cards. “This project may happen before Mahabharat.”
Alia Bhatt has also apparently gone through the script. The source further added, “She, too, has loved it. It’s not known whether she will be a part of the project, but she believes it’s a great script.”
Bollywood celebs are currently going gaga over the Netflix documentary series Wild Wild Country, which is based on Osho and the international community, Rajneeshpuram, in Oregon, USA, released on March 16. With so much admiration for the theme, we can definitely expect a yes from the Thugs of Hindostan star soon!
