The #MeToo movement in Bollywood is not going to end anytime soon. This entire saga started when Tanushree Dutta accused Nana Patekar of sexual harassment and gave some encouragement to other victims in the industry. Soon a series of revealing some disgusting episodes started where victims accused some big names in the industry including Sajid Khan, Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl, Anu Malik, Luv Ranjan, and Kailash Kher. While the entire industry condemned this harsh reality, actors like Aamir Khan decided to withdraw their support from projects that are any way related to the accused. This was a major reason why he distanced himself from Gulshan Kumar biopic, Mogul, that was being helmed by Subhash Kapoor. A case of molestation and attempted rape was filed by actor Geetika Tyagi, against the director and the actor was is in no mood to take it with a pinch of salt. According to a report in Mumbai Mirror, Aamir is now back in the project. Quoting their source, the report said, “The script is close to Aamir and he wants to make the film. Bhushan and he have had a number of meetings since and decided to collaborate on Mogul again. The hunt is on for another director. Director Subhash Kapoor feels there's nothing wrong in Aamir taking a stand against him. In his conversation with PTI, Kapoor said, “I understand and respect Aamir Khan’s and Kiran Rao’s decision. Since matter is sub judice, I intend to prove my innocence in the court of law.”
In April 2014, the actress had filed a complaint with Versova police station in Mumbai alleging that he tried to rape her two years ago. Following which, Kapoor was arrested and let out on bail after paying a sum of Rs 10,000.
