#Wonder Balloon

A R Rahman's debut happened on Television first when he was just a kid. He was featured in Doordarshan's Kid show Wonder Balloon and became famous as a kid who could play four keyboards at once.

#Engineering dreams

Rahman wanted to become an engineer but a keyboard, gifted by his father, changed his course. He soon enough started performing with Illayaraja.

# Oscar pride

Rahman is apparently the only Asian who won two Oscars in one year and that too for the same movie. We are talking about Danny Boyle's Slumdog Millionaire.

Rahman composed the famous signature tune for Airtel which is apparently the most downloaded the mobile track.

#First salary

A R Rahman's first salary was Rs 50. He was in school and was working because his family was going through financial difficulties. His job was to operate a record player.
