'83 is releasing on April 10, but the excitement amongst fans are sky-high, courtesy the character posters. The makers of '83 have been sharing intriguing character posters since some time and after seeing the look of the actors who are set to play the key roles, the excitement level amongst the movie buffs cannot be explained. Ranveer Singh has shared a new character poster, and it is of Dhairya Karwa, who is all set to play the role of the flamboyant all-rounder, Ravi Shastri. 83 The Film: Ranveer Singh Introduces the Finest Gentleman Cricketer, Shares Adinath Kothare's Character Poster of 'Colonel' aka Dilip Vengsarkar.

Ravi Shastri is the current head coach of the Indian national cricket team. The 57-year-old started his career as a left arm spin bowler and later transformed into a batting all-rounder. His signature ‘chapati shot’ is remembered even today. And it is Dhairya Karwa who would be portraying the former cricketer’s role on the big screen, and we just cannot wait to see it. Dhairya is known for his role in the blockbuster film, Uri: The Surgical Strike. '83 is directed by Kabir Khan, whose last film was Tubelight. It is almost after a gap of three years we’ll get to watch a movie helmed by the ace filmmaker who has given us all hit films in the past.
