The first trailer of the upcoming film Kedarnath was released yesterday. This is putting it lightly but the movie buffs have been left impressed. Praiseworthy posts are pouring in left, right and centre on social media platforms. We, too, loved the trailer and see some serious potential in the debutante Sara Ali Khan. The star kid should get ready to face comparisons with another star kid, Janhvi Kapoor, who also made her debut earlier this year with Dhadak. Well, let us have the honour to get the ball rolling.  We ended up finding quite a lot of similarities between Kedarnath trailer and Dhadak trailers itself.

No, by similarities we do not mean that both the movies centre around a star-kid debutante. There is a lot more going on than that. So much that we feel Kedarnath and Dhadak are basically the same films. Let us begin with the easiest one to spot.

The kiss. Both the trailers generated hype with a passionate kiss between the respective leads.

The females in both the trailers are feisty and its established beautifully.

Then the tension in the movie arises due to the fact that both the lead belong to different communities. In Dhadak, Janhvi's character and Ishaan Khatter's characters belong to different castes, and in Kedarnath, Sara's character and Sushant Singh Rajput's characters belong to different religions.

The above reason is why the guy gets up beaten up by the girl's family in both the trailers.

The lead female character gets slapped which is shown in both the trailers.

Both the ladies are more interested in animals than the boys. While Janhvi can't help but talk about puppies, Sara is all about mules.

Then let us come to the tragic part in the plot of the two movies. Both, Dhadak and Kedarnath, are movies about tragedies. While Dhadak is about honour killing, Kedarnath is about floods. In Dhadak, Ishaan Khatter dies in the end. In Kedarnath, let us say there are good chances of one of the characters dying in the floods.

See, told you same films. Okay, we are definitely exaggerating there. But it does seem like a lot of comparisons will be drawn between Dhadak and Kedarnath. Makers have made it easier. On a personal note, we are eagerly looking forward to watching Kedarnath just as much as we were waiting for Dhadak. But, again, who do you think will die at the end of Kedarnath?
